OUR STORY
Caroline Courtney Jepson
Born in August 1987 in Manchester, England. She studied Design & Visual Arts, specialising in Advertising at university. She currently works as an Art and textiles technician and cover supervisor at her old High school
Kenneth Corbitsø
Born in September 1987 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
He studied Business economics & management at university in Sweden and eventually studied a Masters degree in Marketing at Manchester Metropolitan university. He currently works as a marketing manager for a major sports fashion company in Manchester.
From the first conversation to two life changing holidays, there has always been one strong common interest and that is our love for California.
But first let’s rewind to the beginning…
2008 – 2011:
We met. From the first day we spoke, there was always something intriguing that got us talking almost ever other day and although we had different interests, we found common ground on computer games and California.
2012 – 2013:
From the Fondation of a good friendship over the years and Caroline spending time in Copenhagen, we decided to become a couple. We also started out planning for a trip of a life time to California.
2014 – 2016:
Kenneth uprooted his life in Copenhagen to start a masters degree in Manchester, finishing top of his class and starting his career in Marketing. We went on lots of trips together, with many trips to Copenhagen and to the family house in France, especially at Christmas, where we spent our first Christmas together.
2017:
Finally after a long time planning and saving, we booked our once in a lifetime holiday to California. We were so excited to show each other different place we had been to when we were younger and explore them together as adults. Unfortunately on the 2nd day of the 2.5week holiday, we ended up in a bad car accident which we were lucky to have survived, spending the rest of the holiday in hospital and hotel rooms. It taught us how delicate life can be and how much we mean to each other. We learnt to not take life for granted and to not let things stop us. Roll on 2018…
2018+:
Some how we managed to pull it out the hat and save all year for California 2.0. This time we were gonna make it bigger and better then what we had planned but never got to see in 2017. This time we were going away for 3 weeks and it was 3 weeks of awesome. On day 5 of the holiday, Kenneth proposed at Lake Tahoe. Of course Caroline said yes.
January 2019: We started to extend our family with a golden retriever puppy named Bailey, who certainly brought some fluffy chaos into the mix.
April 2020: We have postponed the wedding from the 12th June 2020 to 25th June 2021 and then 15th of July 2022. We hope to welcome everyone to the wedding in July 2022!
We are Both looking forward to our wedding on the 15th July 2022 and starting our future life together.
